This site has pictures of southern Shimane, Hiroshima and Yamaguchi prefectures. I've contacted the woman who's started the hiking club and she's interested in expanding and doing some hikes closer to us in the future, but we may venture down south sometimes as well for some camping and hiking. It's
a really cool site.
The one and only tourist website I've found for
Shimane. It's actually really interesting and has lots of great
photos and descriptions. It mostly describes the coastal towns, but
it gives you an idea of what our area is like.
Our town actually has their own website!
Unfortunately, it's all in Japanese, but it's still cool to check
out. The town flower is the Peony which finished blooming in June so
you'll have to wait till next year to see photos of those.
